Sensory Kids offers a variety of Staff and Parent Workshops. Workshops can be offered at the clinic, throughout the community, and in local schools. We hope that by doing so, we can empower others to be able to make a difference in the lives of children with sensory processing disorders.
When working with schools, we often do an initial in-service to educate about Sensory Processing, what it looks like in the classroom and how it impacts academic learning for all students. This will help lay the foundation and common lingo so that we can consult further if chosen. We then can meet in smaller workshops to discuss specific strategies for the age level and targeted support for classroom needs to create an sensory optimal learning environment. We focus on practical concepts designed for implementation for specific children as well as the whole class.
